High School and College Non-Profit Training Program

Part-Time Course and Site Placement

Course: Over 8 weeks, complete lessons and assignments to build your workplace skills and learn the most important parts of non-profit organizations.

Specialization: Upon your completion of the main course, you have the option to specialize and pursue other tracks of nonprofit management more in-depth, such as media outreach and grant writing

Placement: Upon completion of the online course, students with be placed with a non-profit for a set number of hours per week, while being supported by U4SC as you navigate your new workspace with weekly check-ins.

Course

Over 8 weeks, complete lessons and assignments to build your workplace skills and learn the most important parts of non-profit organizations, such as:

community organizing,
online research skills
communication skills

Upon your completion of the main course, you have the option to specialize and pursue other tracks of nonprofit management more in depth, such as media outreach and grant writing

Site Placement

Upon completion of the online course, students will be placed with a non-profit for a set number of hours per week, while being supported by U4SC as you navigate your new workspace with weekly check-ins.

Work with a nonprofit that needs your help
Use your newly aquired skills at your placement site
Continue to work with U4SC for support and additional training

After the completion of your first site placement, successful associates will be assisted in finding jobs and internships with partner organizations.

Eligibility

Language: English
Age: High School – Grad School
Location: Anywhere! Course Work Is Online, Remote Placements Only During Covid-19
Materials: Have a computer/tablet with access to reliable Internet
Commitment: The program is designed to be completed concurrently with other summer projects.
